Two Vegan Chefs Pair Up for a Night of Curated Vegan Food

On Wednesday, June 21, Miyoko Schinner will be the guest chef at Donna Jean’s Chef’s Table series. The renowned vegan chef will be collaborating with Roy Elam—Donna Jean’s head chef and founder—to bring a curated, multi-course vegan dinner to Donna Jean’s Sherman Oaks location.

The 5-course vegan dinner will follow a traditional Italian tasting menu and feature summer produce local to California. The event offers two intimate seatings at 5pm and at 7:30pm. Tickets are $175 per person and include a wine or non-alcoholic pairing.

Proceeds from the event will be going to Rancho Compassion, a farmed animal sanctuary founded by Miyoko herself. Rancho Compassion’s mission is to provide a lifelong home and place of healing for farmed animals while aiming to change the public’s perception of animals typically regarded as food.

Tickets are expected to sell out fast, so be sure to make your reservations early for this event! Donna Jean is located at 4720 Woodman Avenue, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423.

Donna Jean Finds a New Home in Los Angeles

While Donna Jean was founded in San Diego, the vegan restaurant recently opened a second location in LA. Known for its mouthwatering vegan pizza, unique brunch items, and a beer and wine list filled with local favorites, the vegan restaurant has already made quite a name for itself in the City of [vegan] Angels.

Aside from being a great spot to grab vegan dinner, Donna Jean also offers plenty of community offerings, including a recurring Pizza 101 cooking class every month at its San Diego location.

For a full list of community offerings, more information on the Chef’s Table series, or to just browse some seriously droolworthy pics of vegan pasta, check out DonnaJeanRestaurant.com.
