Allyum opened its doors in the West Seattle neighborhood on New Year’s Day with a hearty plant-based brunch—complete with to-go cocktail kits. The kitchen has expanded its hours to include an upscale dinner on Thursdays and Fridays while continuing brunch on weekends. Both menus are fairly compact and offer seven items that range from small plates and mains to desserts.

Quiznos Expands Vegan Corned Beef to Seattle Locations

Following last year’s limited-time offer in Denver, Quiznos has debuted Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Deli corned beef at 16 locations in Seattle. The vegan meat substitute is featured on the Cali Sub, which comes topped with provolone cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and ranch dressing (order without cheese and ranch to make it vegan). The vegan corned beef can also be added to any sandwich on the menu. If the debut is a hit in Seattle, the brand’s founder, Jenny Goldfarb, expects a nationwide expansion to follow.
