Afro-Vegan Society launches their third annual Veguary campaign offering online support and community for those going vegan!

Did you complete your first month as a vegan? Congrats! But what’s next? Well, Afro-Vegan Society (AVS) just launched their vegan campaign for February! The initiative celebrates Black culture and history while also promoting the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. Keep reading if you need some inspo and resources for your vegan journey!

Afro-Vegan Society’s Veguary Returns for a Third Year

Just because Veganuary has ended doesn’t mean your vegan journey has to as well. Afro-Vegan Society is launching their third annual Veguary! The month-long campaign is an online education program that celebrates Black vegan trailblazers while providing specialized content on veganism throughout Black History Month.

Some buzzworthy content is in their resource library, where you’ll find loads of helpful materials, including informative articles, a Facebook community support group, two education sessions, and cooking demos. The online resource also features several tasty vegan recipes that range from delicious breakfasts to hearty salads, savory entrees, and desserts!

Celebrating Black Culture and Veganism All Month Long

While providing tons of tools and resources to go vegan, AVS celebrates the rich culture of Black history and the plant-based pioneers who have stewarded the movement to be what it is today. Commemorating the legacies of Black vegan activists like Dick Gregory, Coretta Scott King, and Angela Davis is at the core of this campaign and an important reminder that veganism goes beyond what you put on your plate. “Veguary has been—and continues to be—one of our organization’s most impactful programs,” said AVS’ founder and executive director, Brenda Sanders. “Thousands of people have benefited greatly from learning how to make healthier, more sustainable choices, and we plan to reach even greater numbers this year.”

So, keep your vegan journey going and join this powerful campaign! Sign up at AfroVeganSociety.org/Veguary. And remember to follow AVS on Instagram for eye-catching daily content and updates.
