PLANTA closes its Brentwood doors to focus on future growth, with the Marina del Rey location continuing to serve up plant-based favorites.

PLANTA has officially closed the doors to its Brentwood location, marking the end of an era for the popular plant-based restaurant in Los Angeles. The Brentwood location, which opened on October 5, 2023, quickly became a favorite for those craving upscale vegan cuisine. Known for its innovative dishes and chic atmosphere, PLANTA made a name for itself by bringing sustainability and flavor to the forefront. But this month, the company announced that it has shuttered its Brentwood outpost as part of a broader brand evolution.

A Strategic Shift

“We’ve made the difficult decision to close our Brentwood location this month as part of a broader strategic shift at PLANTA,” a spokesperson shared. “While it’s never easy to say goodbye, this change allows us to focus on our highest-performing locations and continue investing in the future of the brand.”

The move aligns with a growing trend among hospitality brands prioritizing long-term growth by consolidating resources. With locations across the US and Canada, PLANTA continues to thrive in cities like New York, Miami, and Toronto, where plant-based dining is booming.

Gratitude for the Community

Despite the closure, PLANTA emphasized the strong community it built in Brentwood. “We’re incredibly proud of the team and community we built in Brentwood, and so grateful for all the support we've received throughout our time there,” the brand shared. From truffle Udon Noodles to Bang Bang Broccoli, guests fell in love with the Brentwood menu—and the people behind it.

Marina del Rey Location Remains Open

For fans of PLANTA's delicious vegan fare, there’s no need to worry—PLANTA’s Marina del Rey location will remain open and ready to serve its loyal guests. Whether you're craving their signature sushi rolls or inventive plant-based bowls, the Marina del Rey location continues to be a must-visit for plant-based dining in Los Angeles.

Looking Ahead

“These shifts will help ensure we emerge more agile and focused than ever,” PLANTA added. “Our guests have been incredibly supportive, and we’re confident that this next chapter will allow PLANTA to grow in new and exciting ways.”

As the brand sets its sights on new opportunities and thriving hubs, fans can still enjoy PLANTA’s innovative, plant-powered cuisine at several other locations across North America. Stay tuned—this isn’t goodbye, it’s see you soon.
