Came for the music, stayed for the vegan food.

We took to the desert to try the vegan options at one of the most popular music festivals in the country. Here is a list of the best vegan food we ate at Coachella in 2023!

Fried Shroom Bao

MANEATINGPLANT

The real Coachella rave happens at MANEATINGPLANT’s tent! On the real, this pop-up’s Fried Shroom Bao is quite literally the reason we stayed awake until the closing act. The handheld features a lotus-steamed bao bun with beer-battered king oyster mushrooms, cashew hoisin, pickled serrano, chili crisp, cilantro, and scallion.

Loaded Cheezy Fries

Veggie Fam

If there’s one thing to know about us, it’s that we love all things potatoes. Mashed, baked, fried—you name it, we love it. So it’s no secret we were all over Veggie Fam’s Loaded Cheezy Fries.

Pepperoni Pizza

Forever Pie

We never turn down an opportunity to enjoy vegan pepperoni pizza with vegan ranch—even at a music festival on a full stomach. So when we walked past Forever Pie, you bet your bottom dollar we dropped everything and grabbed a slice before the next set.

Big Vegan Burrito

Cena Vegan

If it were up to us, Cena Vegan’s Big Vegan Burrito would become the new currency. Each tortilla-wrapped beauty comes packed with beans, rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, cashew crema, salsa, and your choice of vegan meat (barbacoa or carne asada).

Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich

Wolfie’s Hot Chicken

All in favor of renaming Coachella to Veganfriedchickenchella? When you try Wolfie’s Hot Chicken’s Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich, you’ll definitely agree. The sando includes a glorious vegan fried chicken patty with a Nashville rub, dill pickles, creamy slaw, and sauce on a sesame seed bun.

Crunchy Tacos

Taco Party

Nothing makes us dance to the music quite like vegan tacos! And Cena Vegan’s new spinoff pop-up, Taco Party, is the perfect source. The vegan Taco Bell dupe offers the most nostalgic crunchy tacos worth noshing on all weekend long.

Double Cheeseburger

Monty’s Good Burger

Monty’s Good Burger’s Double Cheeseburger is ELITE! Picture the juiciest vegan burger you’ve ever had and then multiply that by 100. Don’t believe us? Stop by Monty’s booth for the Double Cheeseburger Combo and try it for yourself. Don’t forget to grab the limited-edition Yungblud Blu-Black Spicy Ketchup to pair with it.

Four-Course Vegan Dinner

Argento & Outstanding in the Field

Did you know that Coachella partners with Outstanding in the Field to host family-style dinner parties each day? Last Sunday night, we attended the all-vegan dinner curated by Chef Jared Simons—and it was everything we ever dreamed of and more. The four-course menu served as a preview of an upcoming vegan Italian restaurant, Argento.

Super Rich Kids Cocktail

Block Party

Frank Ocean may not have gone with the ice skating rink, but Block Party brought the icy vibes with their Super Rich Kids frozen cocktail! Banana chip-infused vodka, pineapple, creme de coconut, and orange combine to make this refreshing beverage.

Vegan Trill OG Burger

Trill Burgers

This wickedly popular smashburger concept was named the “Best Burger in America” by Good Morning America last year. So when we saw a vegan smashburger on the menu, it was a no-brainer to get in line. Featuring plant-based patties, caramelized onions, vegan cheese, pickles, and Trill sauce, The Vegan Trill OG Burger was worth the hype.
