Vegan in San Diego is back with its third annual San Diego Vegan Festival, and this year’s celebration promises to be the biggest yet! The all-vegan nonprofit is expecting 10,000 attendees to gather on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11am to 6pm at Waterfront Park in Downtown San Diego. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome—whether you're a longtime vegan or just veg-curious.

A Vibrant Lineup of Vegan Delights

This year’s festival boasts 77 vendors, including 27 food booths serving global flavors like BBQ, sushi, tacos, lumpia, lasagna, and dumplings. Got a sweet tooth? Dessert vendors will be dishing out cookies, cinnamon rolls, pies, chocolate, baked goods, and refreshing shaved ice. And don’t forget to hydrate—drink vendors will be pouring kombucha, lattes, cane juice, and fruity lemonades.

More Than Just Food

Beyond the eats, attendees can explore booths from local nonprofits and animal rescues, and shop from 20+ lifestyle vendors offering vegan apparel, body care, art, snacks, spices, and more. Whether you’re looking to support local businesses or stock up on cruelty-free finds, there’s something for everyone.

Celebrating Community and Compassion

“This annual all-vegan party is an excellent way for our nonprofit organization to celebrate its tenth anniversary since inception,” said Carly Morales, event coordinator for Vegan in San Diego. “Our mission is to support all things vegan in San Diego County in an effort to facilitate mindful and compassionate choices, foster a collaborative community, and advocate against exploitation and oppression. Hosting an open and inviting event in this beautiful park is a great way to support our community and attract vegan-curious people to explore our lifestyle in a positive setting.”

Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation or bike to the festival. BikeSD will provide a free, secured bike valet. For a vendor list, event map, and travel tips, visit veganinsandiego.com/sdveganfest.

Just launched: Laughing in the Face of Chaos by Rudá Iandê

Exhausted from trying to hold it all together?
You show up. You smile. You say the right things. But under the surface, something’s tightening. Maybe you don’t want to “stay positive” anymore. Maybe you’re done pretending everything’s fine.

This book is your permission slip to stop performing. To understand chaos at its root and all of your emotional layers.

In Laughing in the Face of Chaos, Brazilian shaman Rudá Iandê brings over 30 years of deep, one-on-one work helping people untangle from the roles they’ve been stuck in—so they can return to something real. He exposes the quiet pressure to be good, be successful, be spiritual—and shows how freedom often lives on the other side of that pressure.

This isn’t a book about becoming your best self. It’s about becoming your real self.
