Stop by for one last meal before this gem closes!
After seven years of service, Seabirds Kitchen will close its restaurant in Long Beach next month. The vegan comfort food eatery will be missed by South Bay foodies, but the restaurant in Costa Mesa will remain open for now.
Seabirds Kitchen Announces Closure of Long Beach Location
Seabirds Kitchen announced the upcoming closure of its Long Beach restaurant yesterday on Instagram. “This decision was not made lightly; we fought hard to keep our dream alive, but the time has come for us to close our doors,” the restaurant team wrote. The reasoning behind this decision is unclear, but it’s safe to assume the current economy and long lasting effects of the pandemic played a part. In fact, Seabirds Kitchen closed its location in Los Feliz earlier this year, which originally opened in the summer of 2022.
In their announcement, the Seabirds team thanked all of its customers and the Long Beach community, “Long Beach, thank you for welcoming us into your community. Your vibrant spirit and love for good food inspires us every day. We are so grateful to have been a part of this incredible city, and we will carry the warmth of our experiences with us wherever we go.” They closed out by informing their followers that September 8 is the final day of service in Long Beach.
Seabirds Kitchen in Costa Mesa to Remain Open
Thankfully, Seabirds Kitchen in Costa Mesa will remain open for the foreseeable future. Customers can stop by for favorite dishes like the Purple Taquitos, Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, Jackfruit Nachos, and the oh-so-heavenly Chaffle. But based on recent restaurant trends, it’s important to support the remaining Costa Mesa location to keep Seabirds Kitchen in business!
