The new spot is located at Urbanspace in Midtown East.
East Coast-based and female-owned vegan burger joint Lekka Burger is expanding! Lekka Burger opened a second location in Manhattan earlier this week at the Urbanspace in the famed General Electric Building.
NYC Gets a New Vegan Burger Joint
Lekka Burger has been a staple in the NYC vegan scene since 2019. Michelin-starred chef Amanda Cohen and social impact entrepreneur Andrea Kerzner founded the brand. Cohen is also the chef and owner of famed NYC vegetarian restaurant Dirt Candy.
Lekka Burger is known for its house-made burgers and scratch kitchen, as well as healthy, sustainable ingredients. The menu is simple—featuring a variety of burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
The basic menu builds on a foundation of the house-made burger patty. Chef Cohen’s plant-based burger is based on a 900-year-old secret recipe and is made with vegetables, mushrooms, and beans. The burger is also soy-free, nut-free, and gluten-free.
Lekka Burger’s second location opened this week at Urbanspace—an iconic food hall located in the General Electric Building. Urbanspace is a community-focused food hall that features diverse chefs, concepts, and cuisines.
Lekka Burger joins the hall as the first fully vegan concept. Lekka Burger will offer the same menu as its original location and will be open from 11am-8pm daily. Urbanspace is located at 570 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10022.
Lekka Burger on Goldbelly
In addition to serving delicious plant-based burgers to New Yorkers, Lekka Burger also offers nationwide shipping. The brand joined Goldbelly, a popular online shipping service that allows restaurants to reach a wider audience.
Lekka Burger currently offers its famed veggie burgers on Goldbelly. Customers can order a 12-pack of the vegan burger patties or opt for vegan burger grill kits for 4 or 8 people. Grill kits include burger patties, buns, fries, pickles, and house-made cheese sauce. Also, all Lekka Burger items on Goldbelly qualify for free shipping!
