And, no, this article isn’t just about falafel.
Want to transport your taste buds to Lebanon, Armenia, and Israel without leaving the city? Check out these restaurants offering vegan Middle Eastern cuisine in LA!
B'ivrit
Pop-Up
This pop-up takes to the streets of LA with flavorful vegan Middle Eastern food! At any given event, B’ivrit serves Shawarma Pitas, Falafel Baskets, Tabuli Salad, Hummus, and a fan-favorite Knafe dessert. Invented by Palestinian Arabs over 1,000 years ago, knafe features shredded phyllo dough spun with cheese, soaked in simple syrup, and topped with pistachios. Now can you see why this is so rare to find vegan?

BeeWali’s Vegan AF
Eagle Rock
The menu at BeeWali’s Vegan AF features a variety of cuisines. Among the lineup? Vegan Middle Eastern-inspired kabob, shawarma, falafel, and more. In addition to the classics, try a fusion item like the Kaboburrito loaded with rice, hummus, cucumber salad, roasted Anaheim pepper salsa, ground kabob, and a tahini aioli.

NOMÏÏS
Pop-Up
Specializing in vegan Lebanese food, NOMÏÏS fills a void in the LA foodie scene. We tried their Lebanese Chk’n Wings, Shawarma Fries, and Custard Baklava Cup at Vegandale, and let us just say—we’re STILL thinking about that food months later. It’s that good! Please note: NOMÏÏS is currently closed due to a family emergency. Check their Instagram page for updates.

Carousel Restaurant
Hollywood & Glendale
Vegan-Friendly
We were today years old when we found out Carousel Restaurant offers a separate vegan menu. Among the plant-based Armenian and Lebanese dishes? Moussaka, Muhammara, Fattoush Salads, and Mantee with a non-dairy yogurt sauce. Order items a la carte or go for the family-style Vegan Hafleh, which is the Arabic word for a big get-together.
