The dairy industry is quaking at Silk’s new product line!
Some people drink dairy-free milk for environmental, ethical, or health benefits. Others do it because they’re lactose intolerant. Whatever the reason, we can all agree that cow’s milk is SO out of fashion! But just because people don’t drink traditional milk anymore, it doesn’t mean they don’t like the taste or consistency of it. There is still a large portion of the omnivore community that say they wouldn’t purchase plant-based products because of taste—53% to be exact. This is why we’re excited to fill you in on Silk’s Nextmilk line. When we tell you this new mind-blowing vegan milk tastes just like cow’s milk, we’re not joking!
Silk’s Dairy-Free Milk
As a leading brand in the vegan milk scene, Silk is always on the cutting edge of plant-based milk, creamers, whipping cream, and yogurt products. Silk’s dairy-free milk line ranges in bases and flavors—from vanilla almond milk to protein-packed chocolate soy milk! Their newest innovation? Vegan milk that tastes exactly like traditional cow’s milk.
A representative from Silk told VegOut, “Silk Nextmilk was made with a delicious blend of plants that are designed to deliver on the taste and texture of traditional dairy milk—I was blown away when I had a first taste. This product was developed with traditional dairy lovers in mind—it has ingredients that mimic dairy’s mouthfeel, taste, and texture. So it’s pretty creamy!”
Silk Nextmilk Reduced Fat and Silk Nextmilk Whole Fat
The new, innovative vegan milk line includes two rich and creamy varieties—Silk Nextmilk Reduced Fat and Silk Nextmilk Whole Fat. Both are made from a blend of oat milk, coconut milk, and soy protein, as well as the six key nutrients found in cow’s milk (Calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin A, Vitamin B12, Phosphorus, and Riboflavin). Silk Nextmilk is also lactose-free, Non-GMO, and contains 30% fewer calories than cow’s milk.
Silk Nextmilk Reduced Fat is a replacement for traditional 2% milk. Each serving comes in at 90 calories and 5g of fat. Modeled after traditional whole milk, Silk Nextmilk Whole Fat boasts 110 calories and 8g of fat.
