The Bizerkeley Vegan, Erika Hazel, hosts the highly anticipated third annual Bizerkeley Vegan Food Festival on Sunday, September 3 at Sports Basement Berkeley. The Largest Vegan Food Festival in the Bay Area promises to be an exciting day filled with mouthwatering vegan delights, entertainment, games, and giveaways. The event will benefit the Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary, adding a touch of compassion to the festivities.

Bizerkeley Food Festival Hosts Vendors Galore

With over 75 vendors from across the country, attendees can indulge in an incredible array of plant-based delights. Among the vendors, you’ll find newcomers like vegan Brazilian bread company RioGood from Bend, Oregon and Los Angeles‘ Voodoo Vegan Cajun food truck. Fan favorites include Returning vendors include The Vegan Hood Chefs from San Francisco and Oakland’s Dr. Hops Hard Kombucha, as well as others.

Vegan Festival Offers Events and Competitions

The festival offers an assortment of fun-filled events and competitions to keep the energy high throughout the day. The new Festival Foodie Games will provide attendees with a chance to win prizes from local businesses. For those 21 and over, the Bizerkeley Bar will offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Don’t miss the whipped cream pie eating contest, the vegan version of Hot Ones, the blindfold ice cream sundae making contest, and the vibrant vegan designer fashion show. Kids can enjoy their dedicated space in the Kids Zone, featuring chalk, bubbles, and vegan story time.

Bizerkeley Food Festival Offers Inclusive Admission Options

The festival caters to various preferences with multiple admission options. Residents with an EBT card, attendees 15 and under, volunteers, and residents of the Savo Island Cooperative Homes can enter for free. General admission tickets range from $5 to $50. For those seeking an exclusive experience, the VIP package, dubbed the Very Important (Vegan) Pass, offers swag bags, merchandise, early entry at 10am, and other exciting perks.

Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary

The Bizerkeley Vegan Food Festival’s partnership with Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary aligns with its mission to promote a plant-based lifestyle and educate the community about compassionate living. The Sanctuary will have its station at the event, where visitors can learn about its efforts to provide a safe haven for animals and raise awareness about ethical consumption.
