The LA-based all-vegan bodega and neighborhood market, LaRayia’s Bodega, is opening at Ponce City Market this October.

LaRayia’s Bodega has been a vital piece of the LA community since its doors opened in 2019. The bodega offers affordable organic and plant-based meals to anyone who needs them at its location in Westlake. When LaRayia’s Bodega opens in Atlanta this fall, they’ll be serving vegan food with Caribbean and Puerto Rican twists.

Vegan Bodega in Atlanta

LaRayia’s Bodega will be joining the food hall of Ponce City Market this October. The shop will offer counter service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with dishes like overnight oats, vegan ceviche, and Jamaican jerk jackfruit tacos decorating the menu. There will also be several grab-and-go items available, such as the bodega’s signature Black Girl Magic Lemonade—made with activated charcoal—and Moon Tea, LaRayia’s own take on a vegan chai tea.

When this vegan bodega opens in Atlanta, their hours will be 9am-7pm Mondays-Thursdays, 9am-9pm on Fridays, 10am-9pm on Saturdays, and 10am-5pm on Sundays. Ponce City Market is located at 675 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast in Atlanta.

Lunch On Me

One of the most important pieces of LaRayia’s Bodega is its connection to founder LaRayia Gaston’s nonprofit, Lunch On Me, which provides 10,000 organic and plant-based meals per month to the unhoused on Skid Row. Lunch On Me operates by redirecting the food waste that LA county produces into wholesome meals for the community. Six days a week, volunteers drive through the streets of LA, giving out meals to those who need them. The nonprofit has had a huge impact on the community through these food drive-bys, as well as through their monthly block party—Love Without Reason—where they offer food, manicures, haircuts, and community engagement to the unhoused.

When LaRayia’s Bodega opens in Atlanta this October, Lunch On Me will be serving free vegan food at Woodruff Park every Friday to the local unhoused community.
