In case you missed it, nostalgic Babybel cheese has gotten a plant-based makeover! After first making the announcement in February, Bel Brands USA has shared an update about the product’s availability. Babybel Plant-Based is now available at Whole Foods, Sam’s Club, and Costco—with more retailers anticipated to sell the product later this year.
New Vegan Babybel Cheese Snack
Babybel Plant-Based was crafted to look, feel, and taste just like the classic Mozzarella cheese wheels. The new vegan cheese snack offers a good source of calcium and vitamin B12. It’s coated in green wax to easily differentiate the plant-based version from its dairy-based counterpart. In addition, the packaging is made of 80% paper and the wrappers are certified home compostable by TUV Austria.

Customers Can Now Find Vegan Babybel Cheese at Retailers Nationwide
After over a month of anticipation, consumers can now find Babybel Plant-Based at retailers nationwide. The product is currently available in six-count bags at Whole Foods and Fresh Thyme and 32-count bags at Sam’s Club and select Costco locations in the Southeast. Bel Brands USA expects to add more retailers to this list in the near future, so keep your eyes peeled!
In addition to Babybel Plant-Based, Bel Brands USA has several other new and upcoming vegan products including Boursin’s Garlic & Herbs Dairy-Free Cheese Spread Alternative, Nurishhh’s entire portfolio, and a vegan version of Laughing Cow cheese wedges (set to launch in 2023).
