Make Out Cafe opened this past weekend, while Plant Food + Wine is set to open mid-May.
Matthew Kenney is one of the leading names in the vegan restaurant business, and he is bringing two of his most popular concepts to Miami: Make Out Cafe and Plant Food + Wine.
Matthew Kenney Cuisine in Miami
Make Out Cafe, a casual marketplace and cafe, opened in Miami this past weekend in the former Thatch Miami space at 3255 NE 1st Ave, Miami, FL 33137. Plant Food and Wine Miami (PFW) will share the same building when it opens in just a few short weeks.
Make Out Cafe is a fast-casual health food cafe that offers cold-pressed juices, smoothies, superfood coffee elixirs, raw dishes, and grab-and-go salads and plant-based bowls. Make Out Cafe already has several locations in Los Angeles and Rhode Island and this expansion into Miami will strive to give customers healthy options on the go.
Plant Food and Wine is one of Los Angeles’ premier vegan dining experiences, and the new spot in Miami is set to be the brand’s flagship location when it opens this May. PFW Miami will operate out of the main part of the restaurant, while Make Out Cafe will be run out of the adjoining marketplace.
Both restaurants will be open as temporary installments for a few months before undergoing extensive renovations over the summer and reopening as final concepts in the fall of 2022. Like all Matthew Kenney Cuisine concepts, both new restaurants will be heavily focused on sustainability and the future of food.
Vegan Menus in Miami
The menus at both Make Out Cafe and PFW Miami will offer classic dishes found at the Los Angeles outposts of both locations, such as the Superfood Oats and Kimchi Wraps at Make Out and the Kelp Noodle Cacio e Pepe and Heirloom Tomato & Zucchini Lasagna at PFW. Other dishes at both restaurants will be inspired by local Miami cuisine and flavors and will be exclusive to the Miami locations.
