The Koia Krew is expanding!
So many athletes, celebrities, and musical icons are backing or founding plant-based brands and we are here for it! The Jonas Brothers invest in Mindright, Justin Turner invests in Ripple, Travis Barker owns a vegan wellness line, and Billie Eilish’s line of vegan Nike sneakers just dropped. In recent news, celebrities Kevin Hart, The Weeknd, Cordae, Kyler Murray, and more now invest in the plant-based beverage brand Koia.
Ready-to-Drink Vegan Beverages
Koia is known for making ready-to-drink vegan beverages that are soy-free, gluten-free, and low in sugar. To cater to nearly everyone’s nutritional needs, Koia offers three different lines—Koia Protein, Koia Keto, and Koia Smoothie.
Koia’s A-List Investors
The mainstream appeal of Koia’s brand and products has gained them several A-list investors. Among the list is The Weeknd, Kevin Hart and his trainer Ron "Boss" Everline, NFL quarterback Kyler Murray, NHL player Ryan O’Reilly, MLB player Josh Bell, NBA player Chris Paul, musical artists Cordae and Pink Sweats, and music producer Internet Money. Together, Koia and its investors hope to make plant-based eating more accessible, delicious, and convenient.
“Koia is a dope, healthy plant-based drink that just so happens to taste incredible. I love the product and use it on a daily basis, so the opportunity to become an early investor was a no brainer,” shared Cordae.
One of the longest investors in Koia is Chris Paul. The NBA star initially partnered with Koia to bring plant-based options to underserved communities by introducing vending machines at Historically Black Colleges and Universities and donating 50,000 Koia bottles to GoPuff customers.
“After working closely with Koia for the past several months, I can see how committed they are to building a successful business and helping people lead healthier lives. With this new round of investors and friends joining the Koia Krew, we have even more potential to create opportunity and access for underserved communities,” said Paul.
Koia Celebrates a Record-Setting Year in Retail Sales
This new funding is expected to propel Koia even further into its rapid growth. In 2021, Koia reached $60 million in retail sales with 35 million bottles sold and a 400% increase in sales over the past three years.
