Dreamery will open on August 27 in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
Dreamery, a fully plant-based ice cream and treat shop, opens in Brooklyn this weekend.
Brooklyn Gets a Fully Plant-Based Ice Cream Shop
Dreamery is brought to you by the team behind Clementine Bakery, Izzy Rose Cocktail Bar, and Le Petit Monstre Bakery—staples in the New York vegan food scene. Inspiration for the shop stems from the owners’ California beach town roots and their time in the 90s rave scene. The result? A spot filled with painted puffy clouds, neon lights, and throwback vibes.
Dreamery will offer seasonal ice cream flavors, self-serve soft serve machines, and footlong churros. They also plan to carry grab-n-go pints and ice cream cakes. Additionally, customers will find specialty merchandise, party accessories, and a rotating selection of vegan candy in the shop.
In the future, Dreamery also plans to offer catering and delivery services. The shop is located at 299 Greene Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11238. Starting this Saturday, they will be open from 12-8pm Tuesday-Saturday.
Specialty Vegan Ice Cream in New York
The menu at Dreamery will change periodically as the brand releases new seasonal flavors. The first menu release includes flavors such as Cherry Pie, Burnt Plum Sesame, and French Toast. Of course, traditional flavors like chocolate and strawberry will also be available.
Co-owner Elle Barton said of the menu, “Each flavor was inspired by color, then a fond childhood memory. I remember eating peach ice cream as a kid by a campfire. This colorful bit of nostalgia became our smoky peach flavor.”
These specialty ice cream flavors can be enjoyed alone, on a cone, or in milkshakes or floats. The house-made soft-serve will be available by the ounce. Be sure to also check out the rest of the menu, including ice cream sundaes, affogatos, and popsicles.
