Popular California diner Mel’s Drive-In recently added vegan milkshake options to their menu. You can now request a vegan version of their standard milkshakes and it will be prepared with vegan Coconut Bliss ice cream instead of traditional dairy ice cream.

Choose from their Thick Old-Fashioned Milkshakes, which are available in chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla, and you have the option of adding in Oreos, bananas, pineapple, butterscotch, or coffee to the mix for $0.20 extra. They also have pre-set vegan options—their Vegan Chocolate Chip (Coconut Bliss vanilla ice cream, almond milk, and vegan chocolate chips) along with their Vegan Cookies ‘n’ Creme (Coconut Bliss vanilla ice cream, almond milk, and Chocolate Chip Lenny and Larry’s Complete Cookie).

And if you’re wanting a whole vegan meal, they offer their own take on the Impossible Burger, which features an Impossible Burger patty topped with tomatoes, onions, sprouts, and pickles, served on a whole wheat bun.

Head to any of their Southern California locations (Santa Monica, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Sherman Oaks) today to try out their vegan options!
