VegUP

WHO WE ARE

VegUP is an initiative that seeks to bring together those in the vegan community to take a stand against racism. It is a collaborative effort between the VegOut team, vegan and vegan-friendly businesses nationwide, nonprofit organizations doing impactful work for the Black Lives Matter movement, and our VegOut audience.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The vegan movement is an inclusive space to come together to fight for a more just society. That justice begins with empathy and compassion. We believe in standing for the oppressed, letting our voices be heard, and working together toward a kinder world.

The mission of VegUP is to come together to lift and empower the Black community. There is no room for racism in the vegan movement.

WHAT WE DO

VegUP seeks to support Black-owned vegan-friendly businesses across the country while simultaneously partnering with Black-owned nonprofit organizations already doing impactful work.

We will be raising money and taking a stand against racism. 100% of your donations will be given to Black-owned, 501c(3) nonprofits that have a commitment to dismantle the school to prison pipeline, end police brutality, fund legal representation, and end the food apartheid for those who have been overlooked for so long. We are focused on organizations that are not trying to create a social moment but rather timely change.
