Norma, the acclaimed Sicilian-inspired restaurant nestled in Fitzrovia, is set to kick off the New Year with a culinary event in collaboration with chef and cookbook author Max La Manna.
This exclusive partnership promises a plant-based, low-waste dining experience that goes beyond the ordinary.
The Exclusive Supper Club: January 4, 2024
On January 4, 2024, Norma will host a ticketed supper club to unveil their bespoke five-course plant-based menu, a brainchild of collaboration between Giovann Attard, Norma’s Executive Head Chef, and Max La Manna. Priced at £65 per person, guests are in for a gastronomic treat that champions sustainability. As a delightful bonus, attendees have the option to purchase a signed copy of La Manna’s cookbook, You Can Cook This!, to take home on the evening of the Supper Club.
January Tasting Menu: A Month-Long Plant-Based Dining Experience
From January 5 to 31, Norma will continue to serve this exclusive menu in lieu of their regular tasting menu, ensuring that plant-based foodies have a month-long opportunity to savor the culinary collaboration.
A Glimpse of the Menu
Prepare your taste buds for a symphony of Italian flavors inspired by seasonal produce from both Italy and the UK:
- Snacks: Savor no-waste potato focaccia and rosemary, accompanied by Etna olives.
- Antipasti: Indulge in julienned Bruno Burrella, nduja, carrot top gremolata, fried basil, and toasted walnuts.
- Primi: Delight in roasted carrot raviolo with beetroot cream, pangrattato, and crispy capers.
- Secondi: Experience courgette involtini with almond ricotta, winter tomato, basil-dusted parmesan crisps.
- Contorni: Revel in marinated beetroot, orange, pistachio, and mint.
- Dolce: Conclude the feast with coconut panna cotta, citrus sorbet, spiced pangrattato, and aquafaba meringue.
Sip and Savor: A Perfect Pairing
La Manna’s crafted non-alcoholic cocktail, available alongside Norma’s extensive list of Sicilian and southern Italian wines and creative cocktails, promises a perfect complement to the exquisite menu. Don’t miss La Manna’s Limoncello spritz, made with whole lemons, including dehydrated lemon peels, also available as an alcoholic option.
Giving Back: FoodCycle Partnership
As part of this culinary collaboration, diners have the option to make a £2 donation to FoodCycle, a national charity addressing food poverty, loneliness, and food waste through community meals. Norma and La Manna are proud to support FoodCycle’s mission.
