Verón closes its brick-and-mortar café to prioritize expanding wholesale operations and improving its e-commerce platform, aiming for better customer service and sustainable growth.

Verón, the LA-based plant-based French macaron brand, made a bittersweet announcement today regarding the closure of its brick-and-mortar café. This strategic decision marks a pivotal shift toward amplifying its thriving wholesale operations and e-commerce platform.

Verón’s Strategic Transition

After a thorough evaluation of its operations and market trends, Verón has decided to close its café doors. This move comes on the heels of substantial growth in demand for its products through wholesale channels and online sales over the past year. By focusing on wholesale and e-commerce, Verón aims to enhance accessibility of its delectable treats nationwide and even internationally as its distribution network expands.

“While it’s difficult to say goodbye to a cherished part of our business, we believe that focusing our efforts on wholesale and e-commerce presents the best path forward for Verón,” said Shera Fournier, Founder & President. “This decision will enable us to better serve our customers, streamline our operations, and drive sustainable growth.”

Where to Find Verón Macarons Now

Despite the closure of the brick-and-mortar café, Verón reassures customers that their favorite macarons will remain readily available. Through the company’s website and wholesale partners, customers can continue to indulge in Verón’s delightful offerings. Additionally, Verón plans to introduce weekly local pickup and delivery of limited-edition items from its new production facility in LA while enhancing the online shopping experience in the upcoming months.

“We are grateful to our loyal customers who have supported us throughout the years,” expressed Fournier. “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we focus on growing our wholesale operations and e-commerce presence.”

Verón’s Farewell Celebration

Verón’s Brick & Mortar location will host its final four days from Wednesday, February 14 through Saturday, February 17 from 9am to 5pm. Customers can enjoy a full coffee menu and savor in-shop favorites like the Everything Bagel macaron, macaron heart cakes, and cheddar chive biscuits.
