The Grammy-nominated artist just launched a limited-time vegan taco to raise money for CASA of Los Angeles.
What’s more LA than vegan tacos and Phoebe Bridgers? Nothing! The Grammy-nominated artist is partnering with HomeState, a much loved LA restaurant known for its Tejano flavor. As a result, for a limited time, the LA spot will offer The Maxine Band Taco! The new vegan taco will satisfy both your smoky and savory craving.
The Maxine Band Taco
Indie rock musician and fellow Angeleno Phoebe Bridgers teamed up with HomeState to curate a special-edition vegan taco! Named for her pup, the Maxine Taco will be a limited-time menu item filled with savory flavor. The taco comes with black beans, shiitake mushrooms, avocado, caramelized onions, and crispy corn strips. It all sits on a Kernel of Truth corn tortilla. “HomeState is one of my favorite local restaurants. Maxine and I should probably be cut off from their breakfast tacos by now,” said Bridgers. If Phoebe Bridgers is a fan of HomeState’s cooking, so are we!
HomeState’s Band Taco Program
The partnership is part of the restaurant’s Band Taco Program. This effort seeks to bring LA’s vibrant culture and music scene together in a flavorful way. Each taco boasts collaboration with an artist and, then, original artwork by a local graphic artist. A portion of the proceeds from the taco will support CASA/LA. CASA/LA is a community-based organization. The group advocates for children and families in LA County’s child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
The Maxine Band Taco is available now through Tuesday, November 22! You can find HomeState restaurants throughout LA, from Hollywood to Sherman Oaks. Visit MyHomeState.com to view all locations. And be sure to follow them on Instagram to learn more about their partnership with Phoebe Bridgers!
