The plant-based company plans to roll out 60 new locations across Florida and Washington.
Odd Burger just announced a major expansion to the US. The innovative plant-based fast-food company has signed a significant agreement with StarMatt Corporation to develop 40 new locations across Florida over the next eight years. This agreement marks Odd Burger’s second US expansion plan and follows a previous commitment to open 20 locations in Washington State. With these developments, Odd Burger now has 60 US locations in the pipeline.
Partnership with StarMatt Corporation
James McInnes, CEO and co-founder of Odd Burger, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. “We couldn’t be more excited to start the process of expanding into the Florida market. We are very fortunate to have such a strong partnership with StarMatt, and we are confident that they will be successful expanding into the Florida market.”
StarMatt Corporation is co-led by Prashant Dalal and Vishal Valsadia. Dalal, who has been instrumental in expanding Odd Burger in Ontario, is optimistic about the Florida market. “We see an incredible opportunity in the Florida market. We feel that our team has the perfect experience to succeed in developing this territory and we believe that the Odd Burger brand will rapidly expand across Florida.”
Strategic Expansion Model
Odd Burger’s US expansion follows a territory development strategy. The company grants franchise development rights to area representatives familiar with local markets. These representatives secure franchise partners, assist with site selection and construction, and provide ongoing operational support. In return, they receive a percentage of the franchise fee, development fees, and recurring royalties.
Canadian Locations Update
Odd Burger continues to grow in Canada as well. The company recently opened its first location in Edmonton, AB, with a record-breaking turnout. Although the opening of the Victoria, BC location has been delayed to June 2024 due to integration challenges, the Ottawa, ON location is on track to open by June 1, 2024. Additionally, four new locations in the Greater Toronto Area and one in Vancouver, BC, are set to open this summer, bringing the total operational locations to 21.
Stay Tuned for Grand Openings
Odd Burger will announce the grand opening dates for all new locations on their social media channels following final inspections. Keep an eye out for these updates and get ready to enjoy more plant-based goodness soon!
