Los Angeles veggie lovers, you’ll want to hear this! Topanga Social at the Westfield Topanga Mall is now open, featuring longtime LA favorite MANEATINGPLANT! The 27-restaurant food hall will be a culinary hub for all to enjoy, with impeccable vegan options. Stop by MANEATINGPLANT’s first brick-and-mortar location—serving up noodles, bao, and Spam musubi with plant-based flair!

MANEATINGPLANT Opens at New Westfield Topanga Social Food Hall

Originally opening as a plant-based mobile food concept in 2018, MANEATINGPLANT is now opening its first brick-and-mortar location inside the new Topanga Social food hall in Westfield Topanga. Their dishes are inspired by the founders’ shared Taiwanese, Japanese, Hong Kong, and Malaysian roots, which have historically been offered via pop-ups and their refurbished school bus food truck, known as Olive the Magic Food Bus. Feast on a set of Fried Shroom Bao crafted with lotus steamed bao buns, beer-battered king oyster mushrooms, and cashew hoisin. Not into shrooms? Opt for their plant–based take on classic musubi with vegan “spam,” housemade cashew kewpie, rice, and nori. The plant-based restaurant still plans to pop up around the Los Angeles area. Upcoming events include Smorgasburg, The Grasshopper, Cruel World Festival, and more!

Topanga Social Food Hall Opens New 27-Restaurant Concept

The Topanga Social food hall boasts a 5,500-square-foot space with hundreds of seats for foodies to nestle into. Although MANEATINGPLANT will be the only plant-based restaurant, patrons will be able to enjoy a large range of vegan bites across the area. Partake in vegan dumplings at Dumpling Monster, donuts at Primo’s Donuts, ice cream at Wanderlust Creamery, and hand rolls at Seaweed. There is something for everyone to enjoy!
