This month, reality TV star and businesswoman Kylie Jenner announced that her makeup line—Kylie Cosmetics—is getting a vegan makeover. The brand plans to relaunch the beloved liquid lipstick shades using a cruelty-free, vegan, and gluten-free formula.

Kylie Jenner launched her first Kylie Lip Kit in 2015 in three liquid lipstick shades along with a set of matching eyeliners. After a successful test run, Kylie Cosmetics quickly expanded into a multi-million dollar company, featuring 30 shades of liquid lipsticks and 15 matte and shimmer gel eyeliner shades. While Kylie Cosmetics has always been cruelty-free, the updated line will feature 37 lip kits, 30 high glosses, 32 matte liquid lipsticks, nine lip liners, four lip blushes, and 15 matte and shimmer gel eyeliner shades with a new, 100% vegan formula.

Kylie Skin

In addition to her makeup brand, Kylie Jenner launched Kylie Skin in May 2019. The skincare brand is 100% cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and is suitable for all skin types. Best-selling items include face moisturizer, eye cream, vitamin C serum, coconut body lotion, and lip oil.

Members of the Kardashian Family Are Eating Plant-Based

As Kylie’s makeup line transitions to a completely vegan formula, some members of the Kardashian family are eating plant-based, as well. Kim Kardashian West began eating a plant-based diet in 2019 and has since committed to giving up animal products for good. Khloé Kardashian also participated in a vegan bootcamp challenge with Kim this past January.

In addition, Kourtney Kardashian, who now dates vegan musician Travis Barker, has begun to adopt a mostly vegan diet as well.
