It’s that time of year again—welcome to the 2025 Girl Scout cookie season! For the second year in a row, we have six vegan-friendly cookies to look forward to. While this sweet news is music to our ears, we must throw in a sad little spoiler alert—one of our fave vegan cookies is being retired at the end of the season! Eager to learn which cookie will be exiting the lineup? You know we got your back! But before we get into the details, let’s talk about the current plant-based options.
Are Girl Scout Cookies Vegan?
Yes, some Girl Scout Cookies are made with vegan ingredients, including the popular Thin Mints. However, it's important to note that two cookie distributors operate in the US, each offering different cookie formulations. ABC Bakers currently offers six vegan cookie varieties while Little Brownie Bakers offers only one vegan option. So, as always, it's essential to check which bakery supplies to your local troop to ensure you're selecting from the available vegan options.
How to Purchase Vegan Girl Scout Cookies
If you already know a Girl Scout, you’ve got an in on this year’s cookie lineup. But if you don't know a Girl Scout, don’t fret! Beginning February 21, you can use the Girl Scout Cookie Finder to purchase cookies to be shipped directly to your home! We’ve already got that date marked on our calendars so we can load up on this year’s vegan cookie selection!

Adventurefuls

We aren’t sure about you, but the veganization of the ABC Bakers’ Adventurefuls last year had us obsessed! This brownie-inspired cookie is loaded with sea salt caramel and is set to be our 2025 favorite! Unfortunately, the Little Brownie Bakers Adventurefuls still contain dairy, so opt for the ABC Bakers formulation if possible!

This certified gluten-free Girl Scout cookie hasn’t always been vegan, but for the third year in a row, it's sporting a vegan-friendly recipe formulation. We can almost taste the sweet and salty chewy cookie through the screen! We’re adding the Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies to our vegan Girl Scout cookie order form as we speak.
Thin Mints

Thin Mints are a vegan Girl Scout cookie classic! We can’t get enough of these crispy chocolate cookies and their minty chocolate coating. If you love these like we do, order a few extra boxes this year and keep them in your freezer. It extends the Girls Scout season and we can’t recommend it enough! Note, both distributors make vegan Thin Mints!
Lemonades

Like a cup of homemade lemonade, these vegan Girl Scout cookies are super refreshing! We live for the combination of sweet shortbread cookies and tangy lemon icing—we’ll take a few boxes, please! But, while you’re ordering, be sure not to confuse the Girl Scout Lemonades with Little Brownie Bakers’ Lemon-Ups, as those treats are not vegan-friendly at this time.

Toast-Yay!

Ok, we’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that these toast-shaped, Girl Scout cookies are totally vegan! If you like French toast, you will love these! Now for the bad news. Unfortunately, these icing-dipped cookies will be retired, along with the non-vegan S’mores cookies, at the end of this Girl Scout cookie season. BRB, we’re doubling down our Toast-Yay! order.

Peanut butter cookies dipped in a chocolaty coating? Sold! We can’t get enough of the Peanut Butter Patties from ABC Bakers. These vegan Girl Scout cookies are an iconic choice for the 2025 Girl Scout cookie season. If you live in Little Brownie Bakers territory, skip the Tagalongs as those unfortunately contain milk ingredients.
