Self-funded and independently owned vegan food brand Upton’s Naturals is celebrating 18 years in business by hosting a vegan pizza buffet in Chicago, their hometown. This exciting event is a collaboration with local pizzeria Paulie Gee’s, offering a delightful array of pizzas featuring Upton’s Naturals’ popular meat alternatives like seitan and jackfruit.
A Feast to Remember
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 25! The vegan pizza buffet is a ticketed event with two seating times at 5pm and 7:30pm. Guests will enjoy a two-hour feast of all-you-can-eat plant-based pizzas, fresh salads, and treats from a dessert bar featuring cupcakes from the renowned vegan bakery, Pie, Pie My Darling. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with Upton’s Naturals employees, including founder Daniel Staackmann. Each guest will also receive a swag bag filled with exclusive event merchandise and other vegan goodies. For drinks, soft drinks, beer, cocktails, and a signature mocktail created by Staackmann will be available for purchase.
Pioneers in Plant-Based
Founded in 2006, Upton’s Naturals stands out as the only independently and vegan-owned meat alternatives brand sold nationwide. The company is known for producing the #1 selling seitan, a wheat-based meat alternative, for two consecutive years. With its headquarters on the west side of Chicago, Upton’s Naturals has been instrumental in fostering the city’s vibrant vegan food scene.
Staackmann, a vegan of more than 30 years, said, “I started Upton’s Naturals because I couldn’t find the vegan products in stores that I wanted to eat. Now we have dozens of products sold in stores nationwide and around the world, and on the menu at hundreds of restaurants. Support from our homebase in Chicago helped us to become a top-selling brand in the category, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the party.”
