The beloved vegan soft serve shop is coming to the west side!
Soft serve, milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, and pie slices are just a few of the delicious vegan desserts that have given Yoga-urt its claim to fame. If you’re like us, you’ll travel for vegan soft serve, but wouldn’t it be nice to pop by and grab a cone in your neighborhood? If you live on the west side, you’re in for a treat because Yoga-urt is opening a third location in Santa Monica!
Vegan Soft Serve in Los Angeles
Since opening in Glendale in 2015, Yoga-urt has drawn the attention of dessert-loving Angelenos and visitors alike. With vegan soft serve that’s organic, gluten-free, and creamy AF, this spot has found the perfect balance between a dessert that’s sweet and indulgent, yet refreshing and more nutritious than most. In 2019, Yoga-urt opened their second location in Echo Park, and now, they’re ready to expand to a third location.
The New Yoga-urt Storefront
Yoga-urt will be taking over a former Treats Frozen Yogurt Bar storefront on Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica. The new spot is double the size of Yoga-urt Echo Park, and since the move-in won’t require any major remodeling, the vegan soft serve shop hopes to open by the end of September!
“Customers have been asking for a new store for several years and I’ve wanted a store on the Westside for a while, so when I heard about the opportunity of succeeding Treats Frozen Yogurt Bar with a new Yoga-urt storefront, I immediately saw it as a beautiful opportunity to expand our community. We are beyond grateful for the continued support of our customers and look forward to introducing Yoga-urt to the local residents of Santa Monica and surrounding areas. We will continue to honor this location as a peaceful space where the community can gather and enjoy Yoga-urt's guiltless selection of wholesome and authentically crafted soft serve in an eco-conscious environment,” said Melissa Schulman, founder of Yoga-urt.
Vegan Dessert in Santa Monica
Yoga-urt’s new location will stock eight to ten different rotating flavors on tap that can be ordered in a cup, gluten-free cone, cookie sandwich, or soft serve pie. Everything is made from high-quality ingredients that are vegan, organic, gluten-free, soy-free, and void of any artificial colors, flavors, preservatives. The soft serve is created from a hand-squeezed almond and cashew base that’s enriched with four gut-essential probiotic strains—L. casei, L. rhamnosus, L.acidophilus, and L. bifidum—and enhanced with flavor-specific ingredients. Yeah, it’s safe to say Yoga-urt is going to be the new hot spot for vegan dessert in Santa Monica in no time!
