The plant-based dogs can be ordered in three different vegan-friendly options.

It’s a full restaurant chain takeover! Field Roast Plant-Based Signature Stadium Dogs are now available at select Wienerschnitzel locations, with a complete nationwide rollout at all 325+ locations by the end of the month.

Vegan Hot Dogs at Wienerschnitzel

This nationwide expansion comes on the heels of a successful regional market test that Wienerschnitzel conducted with Field Roast’s Signature Stadium Dog last year in California, Texas, and New Mexico. The hot dog fast-food chain is now the first company to introduce the Field Roast products on a national scale.

The Signature Stadium Dog joins the Wienerschnitzel menu in three different varieties: Barbeque Veggie Dog, Chicago Veggie Dog, and Backyard Veggie Dog. The Barbeque Veggie Dog comes with BBQ sauce, a long pickle spear, and diced onions. The Chicago Veggie Dog comes piled with a pickle spear, tomatoes, sport peppers, onions, mustard, relish, and celery salt. The Backyard Veggie Dog is served with dairy-based American cheese, a pickle spear, tomatoes, ketchup, and mustard. Both the Barbeque and Chicago Veggie Dogs are vegan as-is, and the Backyard Veggie Dog is vegan when ordered without the American cheese.

Many locations already have the three Veggie Dogs available on their menus for $3.99. Use Wienerschnitzel’s store locator to see if your closest restaurant is serving up the vegan hot dogs. If it’s not there yet, no worries—all Wienerschnitzel locations will have the Veggie Dogs by the end of January.

Field Roast Vegan Hot Dog

The Field Roast Signature Stadium Dog is made from a variety of plant proteins, including pea, brown rice, and fava bean. It is double smoked in a smokehouse using maple hardwood wood chips to replicate the flavors of traditional kosher-style beef hot dogs.

Americans eat about 20 billion hot dogs per year, which means this nationwide rollout of vegan hot dogs at a national chain is a major win for the plant-based movement. Visit Wienerschnizel.com for more information about the nationwide expansion.
