Get ready, California foodies! Love.Life vegan restaurant opens its doors in Culver City today, May 5! The restaurant by Whole Foods co-founder John Mackey will eventually incorporate not only the power of nourishing food but also holistic medical care and wellness therapies from around the world to make lasting health and vitality attainable. The opening of their Culver City restaurant will be the first step of this experience, offering nourishing and delicious cuisine that celebrates the freshness and flavor of whole plant-based foods.

Nourishing Plant-Based Fare at Love.Life Cafe in Culver City

Love.Life’s Executive Chef, Brooks McCarty, worked alongside a team of nutritionists, medical professionals, culinary genomic experts, and human performance specialists to create the Love.Life menu. The menu boasts a variety of delectable dishes, including Chili-Roasted Whole Cauliflower, Pesto Pizza, Thai Green Curry Bowl, Mushroom Farro Risotto, and the Wynwood Salad. The Love.Life dining experience is multi-faceted, with guests able to access a wealth of information about each dish by scanning a QR code on the menu. This information includes the dish’s complete nutrition profile, functional benefits, and preparation methods, making it simple for guests to select meals that cater to their dietary restrictions, allergies, or personal preferences.

More Than Great-Tasting: Love.Life Cafe’s “Optimize” Dishes Focus on Well-Being

Love.Life has a special section on its menu dedicated to enhancing well-being, decreasing inflammation, and boosting vitality. These dishes are called “Optimize” dishes and are marked with a special icon on the menu. They are packed with ingredients that have been scientifically shown to help alleviate and even reverse chronic health conditions when consumed as part of a whole food, plant-based diet. Some of the dishes featured in this section are Beet Tartare, Oyster Mushroom Carnitas Tacos, Green Garlic Pizza, and Shepherd’s Pie.

Free From 200+ Preservatives: How Love.Life Follows Whole Foods Market’s Standards

Love.Life advocates for the use of unprocessed and natural ingredients, where food is presented in its most authentic form and deep-frying is avoided. The restaurant follows the guidelines established by Whole Foods Market, which limit the use of hydrogenated fats and more than 200 artificial additives, such as preservatives, flavors, and colors commonly found in pre-packaged food. Additionally, sugar and salt are used minimally in Love.Life’s dishes.
