Experience art in every bite with Kate’s new flavor, a true masterpiece.

Portland’s beloved plant-based and gluten-free ice cream shop, Kate’s Ice Cream, has unveiled a new flavor dedicated to Vincent van Gogh’s iconic painting, “Starry Night.” Starting today, January 15, Portlanders can indulge in this special creation, available at both Kate’s Ice Cream scoop shop locations through February 2.

A Tribute to Van Gogh’s Masterpiece

The new flavor, aptly named "Starry Night," features a white maple cinnamon ice cream base swirled with rich blue vanilla "brush strokes," golden honeycomb "stars," and a "swirly sky" chocolate syrup drizzle. Founder and recipe curator Katelyn Williams designed this flavor to celebrate the final weeks of Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experiences at the Oregon Convention Center (OCC).

“I am a big van Gogh fan,” said Williams. “And the immersive experiences now at the Oregon Convention Center are so captivating and soul-filling. I wanted to create a flavor for this collaboration that, like Beyond Van Gogh, gives Portlanders a joyful, colorful experience.”

Where to Find ‘Starry Night’

You can find this exclusive flavor at Kate’s Ice Cream locations on 3713 N Mississippi Avenue and 1430 NW 23rd Avenue. Don’t miss your chance to savor this limited-time treat while enjoying the immersive art experiences that run through February 2.

Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experiences

Returning for its second Portland run, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience transports guests through Van Gogh’s world with hundreds of iconic masterpieces projected onto walls. Meanwhile, Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience offers a fresh perspective on Claude Monet’s impressionist works. These exhibitions, held at OCC, provide a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art and life of these legendary painters.

“Portlanders should absolutely go see these inspiring shows while they’re here, and we can’t wait to welcome Portland art lovers for a scoop of ‘Starry Night’ to complete the experience,” said Williams.

Tickets for both shows are available now, with options for individual and combined showtimes through February 2.
