Suddenly, we’re baseball fans.

Whether you’re a baseball fan or not, you’re going to want to ask your bestie to take you out to the ball game. Why? HipCityVeg just launched a vegan hot dog cart outside of the DC baseball stadium, Nationals Park. Serving up Beyond Sausage brats, sides, and drinks, the HipCityVeg cart caters satisfying plant-based bites to hungry baseball fans on game days.

Vegan Hot Dog Cart at Nationals Park

HipCityVeg’s vegan hot dog cart at National Parks was created in partnership with Beyond Meat. Stationed in front of HipCityVeg’s newest location just steps from the National Parks’ center field entrance, this new cart makes plant-based options more convenient for sports fans. Customers can stop by the cart on game and event days beginning Monday, May 23. The offerings include vegan hot dogs with Beyond Sausage brats, a variety of condiments, vegan chips, and fresh-pressed kale lemonade. Baseball fans catching a game can order vegan hot dogs from the cart and take them into the stadium to enjoy.

To make things even more exciting, celebrities and influencers are working the cart on game days. Each celebrity guest chooses an organization that receives a portion of the profits during their shift. In addition, local animal rescues are hosting “Dogs for Dogs” adoption events near the cart.

Vegan Options at Baseball Stadiums

Aside from the HipCityVeg hot dog cart, there are a variety of other vegan options at baseball stadiums across the country. Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas offers vegan queso, burgers, hot dogs, and more. Citi Field in Queens, New York hosts an all-vegan vendor, Marty’s V Burger. Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota is home to vegan Italian sausages, burgers, cheese pizza, and ice cream cookie sandwiches, to name a few. Over the years, plant-based items have made their way into mainstream venues—and it’s only up from here!

“We’re thrilled to bring plant-based brats to the ballpark. America’s favorite sport is all about traditions, like rooting for the home team with a hot dog in hand. We’re putting our spin on those beloved game day rituals with a vegan hot dog stand just steps from center field,” shared HipCityVeg founder, Nicole Marquis.

HipCityVeg in Washington, DC

This co-branded hot dog cart is an extension of HipCityVeg’s newest location, which opened May 21 in Washington, DC. The new spot is the only all-vegan restaurant in the Navy Yard/Ball Park/Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. With menu items like burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, and milkshakes, HipCityVeg is a great place to grab a quick plant-based bite to eat.
