The meat-heavy restaurant just got a bit more vegan-friendly!
Most vegans avoid steakhouses, barbecue joints, and other meat-heavy restaurants—for obvious reasons. But today, the popular Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chão debuts vegan dishes and a new beverage menu of cocktails and mocktails. This marks the start of a vegan-friendly future for popular, animal-based restaurants.
Fogo de Chão’s New Vegan Menu
At this point, you may be wondering how this all came about. Because this is some pretty epic—and shocking—news! But it’s no secret that plant-based food is catching on everywhere. And although Fogo de Chão already had a few customizable vegan options at their custom salad bars, these new options are much more abundant.
Fogo de Chão's new vegan menu includes entrées and items at their Market Table—the chain’s popular buffet collection of vegetables, salads, soups, toppings, and more. The first new entrée, Seared Tofu with Miso Black Bean Pasta, features chimichurri-marinated tofu over black bean pasta sautéed with green onion, Napa cabbage, pickled onions, and carrot ginger-miso dressing. The second entrée? A Roasted Power Vegetable Bowl with eggplant, zucchini, asparagus, baby peppers, marinated mushrooms, and chimichurri Spanish rice. Both dishes are vegan and gluten-free.

Other Vegan Options at Fogo de Chão
In addition to the two new entrées, customers can find other new plant-based options at the iconic Fogo de Chão Market Table. Additional vegan items include Spring Hummus, Miso Black Bean Pasta, and Power Greens. Please note that both the Kale & Mango Salad and Apple Manchego Salad include honey.

Vegan-Friendly Mocktails and Cocktails
The last aspect of Fogo de Chão’s menu renovations is its enhanced beverage list complete with vegan-friendly mocktails and cocktails. First up? The Espresso Martini, which contains Diplomatico Reserva Rum, Caffe Borghetti, and Licor 43. Second is the Clean Cosmo composed of CleanCo low-proof vodka (less than 0.5% alcohol), apple, cranberry, and fresh lemon. Third on the roster is the CleanR Sour—a combination of CleanCo low-proof rum, passionfruit, pineapple, aquafaba, and bitters. Last on the list is the Clean Cucumber Martini, made with CleanCo low-proof vodka, apple, cucumber, basil, and a lemon twist.
“Our young and dynamic guests consider themselves food explorers who seek new culinary discoveries with each visit. For nearly 45 years we’ve had nutrient-dense and plant-forward dining options for every occasion and dietary tribe through our Market Table. With the rollout of our new dining choices and clean cocktails, we continue to offer our guests the variety and discoveries they crave while doing it in a wholesome and flavorful way,” said Barry McGowan, Chief Executive Officer at Fogo de Chão.

Just launched: Laughing in the Face of Chaos by Rudá Iandê
Exhausted from trying to hold it all together?
You show up. You smile. You say the right things. But under the surface, something’s tightening. Maybe you don’t want to “stay positive” anymore. Maybe you’re done pretending everything’s fine.
This book is your permission slip to stop performing. To understand chaos at its root and all of your emotional layers.
In Laughing in the Face of Chaos, Brazilian shaman Rudá Iandê brings over 30 years of deep, one-on-one work helping people untangle from the roles they’ve been stuck in—so they can return to something real. He exposes the quiet pressure to be good, be successful, be spiritual—and shows how freedom often lives on the other side of that pressure.
This isn’t a book about becoming your best self. It’s about becoming your real self.
