Field Roast Launches Plant-Based Pepperoni

Field Roast is branching out from their line of craft plant-based sausages to launch vegan pepperoni. Not only will this new product be one of the few plant-based pepperonis on the market, it’s also soy-free, making it widely accessible to consumers across the board. Made from pea protein, fennel, cracked black pepper, garlic, and paprika, this meat replacement has the characteristic fat marbling of traditional pepperoni and will be a great alternative for vegans, flexitarians, and omnivores alike.

For now, the pepperoni is available exclusively at the popular Toronto-based pizza chain Pizza Nova at all 144 of their locations. Consumers in the U.S. can expect to see it in stores and restaurants later this year. Cheers to more vegan options in 2021!
