Stop by Plántate Café for a cold brew and concha!

Are you in need of home decor, plants, lattes, and vegan pan dulce? Stop by this new plant-based coffee trailer for Mexican coffee and pastries. Plántate Café is positioned on the stunning patio of Burbank’s home decor shop, Tansy. So you can get your shopping and snacking all in one spot!

Plántate Café in Tansy’s

Plántate Café strives to share the rich flavors of Mexico and challenge stereotypes about Mexican cuisine and its healthfulness. Founder Nadia Marina left the acting industry to launch this mission-driven business with her husband in 2021. Plántate Café first debuted in May 2021 as a fold-out table popping up in Tansy’s garden on weekends. As of this June, the business has expanded to a coffee trailer with permanent residency at Tansy’s.

In addition to selling home decor and plants, Tansy’s is known as a community hub for Angelenos from all walks of life. The shop hosts events like acoustic concerts, open mic nights, sound baths, and makers markets. Both Marina and Tansy’s founder, Shawna Christia, share similar goals, so the collaboration only felt natural.

Vegan Horchata, Café de Olla, and Mexican Hot Chocolate

At Plántate Café, customers will find a wide variety of Mexican-inspired drinks and pastries. The beverage lineup includes staples like vegan horchata, Café de Olla, and Mexican hot chocolate. In addition, the trailer serves classic coffee varieties like oat milk lattes, matcha lattes, and cold brews.

Rotating Menu of Plant-Based Pastries

On the food front, Plántate Café partners with local bakers to offer fellow small business owners more exposure while serving a rotating menu of plant-based pastries. From Thursday through Saturday, try Gooey Center’s Mayan Cinnamon Roll, a classic cinnamon roll topped with a drizzle of Mayan chocolate sauce. From Saturday through Monday, find Mija’s Bakery’s vegan conchas, croissants, and fruit turnovers. And from Tuesday through Friday, enjoy Little Gnome Bakes’ vegan milk bread, pistachio rolls, chocolate babka, and raspberry tarts.

Last but not least, Plántate Café stocks the following vegan, gluten-free cookies: Maple Ginger Spice by Whimsic Whisk, Guava Shortbread by Tres Café, and Chocolate Chip by Crumbs.
