The two-day event will feature 90+ local and national vendors.
Mark your calendars! Rhode Island’s fully vegan food festival, RI VegFest, celebrates its 5th Annual event February 1-2, 2025, at the WaterFire Arts Center in Providence. As the Ocean State’s premier plant-based event, RI VegFest will showcase over 90 local and national vegan-friendly brands, offering attendees a chance to explore the best in compassionate living.
A Star-Studded Vendor Lineup
From mouthwatering dishes to unique vegan products, the vendor lineup has something for everyone. Attendees can enjoy bites from beloved Rhode Island spots like PiANTA Vegan Restaurant, Foglia, and Basil & Bunny, as well as regional favorites like Mighty Mudita (VT) and Belmont Vegetarian (MA). Vendors from as far as Los Angeles will also join the festivities, bringing a national flair to this local celebration. Keep an eye on @rivegfest on Instagram for daily vendor announcements!
RI VegFest’s founder, Robin Dionne, said, “As a vegan of over 25 years, I am excited to see vegan options become more widely available in Rhode Island and around the country. We are looking forward to our 5th Annual RI VegFest, where food lovers of all backgrounds can eat, shop, and learn from both local favorites and some exciting businesses from all around the country, including those from as far away as Los Angeles!”
Sustainability at the Heart of the Event
RI VegFest isn’t just about good food—it’s about good practices. Partnering with local compost processor and eco-friendly wares producer World Centric, the festival aims to minimize waste, diverting 95% of event trash from landfills.
“Events of this size can generate a surprising amount of waste, and we’re focused on making our events as sustainable as possible,” said Dionne. “At our previous events, composting has helped us reduce our landfill waste by an incredible 95%. We are on track to do the same in February.”
