Looking for your new “forever furniture?” Then check out MasayaCo for all your furniture needs.
MasayaCo is on a mission to replenish forests decimated by animal agriculture. Their brand began as a reforestation project. Over time, this led to a furniture-making business. To this point, MasayaCo has planted over 1.3 million trees. But why reforestation for a company that sells tables and chairs? Well, because we need reforestation. It cools the planet, nurtures wetlands, and revives habitats. Among. Other. Things. Furniture production is just an offshoot part of the reforestation process. So, keep reading to learn more about this sustainable furniture brand that crafts pieces to last a lifetime.
MasayaCo’s Reforestation Project
The brand’s Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification means that MasayaCo participates in responsible forest management. One way they do this is through their reforestation project. The brand plants thousands of trees annually in an effort to create new forests where old ones have been stripped away. The leading cause of deforestation is cattle farming, which accounts for about 80% of decimated forests. To date, MasayaCo has planted more than 1.3 million trees. We’d say that’s an environmental win!

Handcrafted Sustainable Furniture Production
Their handcrafted sustainable furniture production grew out of this reforestation project. The furniture is produced by master artisans from solid teak and is designed to last for generations. So not only are the pieces beautiful and functional, but they are environmentally friendly as well. Additionally, the brand utilizes every part of the trees they grow. So, if renewable solid wood heirloom-quality pieces are what you’re looking for, then MasayaCo is the spot to shop.
