The Vegan Strong PlantBuilt Team, an elite group of 49 vegan athletes, is set to make history in the fitness world in 2024. This team, comprising champion bodybuilders, strength athletes, and renowned nutritionists, aims to demonstrate the powerful benefits of plant-based protein for muscle health, performance, recovery, and environmental sustainability.
Record-Breaking Presence at Mr. America and USA Fit Fest
For the first time, Vegan Strong PlantBuilt will bring its CrossFit team to the USA Fit Fest, happening from September 7-8, 2024. Later, from October 11-13, 2024, Atlantic City will host the prestigious Mr. America event, where the team will compete in Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Kettlebell Sport, and Strongman categories. Celebrating its seventh competitive year, PlantBuilt is prepared to break records and defend titles across all sports.

Featuring athletes from Norway, the UK, France, and Canada, the Vegan Strong PlantBuilt Team highlights its global influence and commitment to revolutionizing the mainstream fitness industry. By participating in these high-profile competitions, the team challenges traditional notions about protein and performance.

Featured Athletes and Events
Strongman: Englishman Tom Butts, a consistent winner with titles as the World’s Strongest Natural Man at 90kg, will compete in Atlantic City. He joins reigning Mr. America heavyweight Strongman champ Bradie Crandall, the “Vegan Hercules,” who aims to defend his title.
Powerlifting: American Ryan Stills, a multiple IPF Master’s World Champion and the 2021 World’s Strongest Man, will continue to push limits with a record deadlift of 793 lbs.
Bodybuilding: American Maddie McConnell, celebrated for her rapid rise and multiple wins across bodybuilding federations, will showcase her skills. As the best natural figure competitor globally, she is a top contender.
Kettlebell Sport: Canadian Jennifer Hintenberger, with six world championships, 18 world records, and over 70 gold medals, will bring her expertise to the competition, aiming for more victories.
CrossFit: American Ashley Kitchens, a powerhouse competitor and plant-based nutritionist, will compete in the RX category. As a quarterfinal qualifier in the 2023 and 2024 RX Open and RX 35-39 age group, she aims to excel.
