And the menu will feature even more vegan Oaxacan dishes, including sopes!
If you’ve lived in LA for a hot minute, you’ve probably visited The Grain Cafe multiple times. The family-owned vegan restaurant has several locations that serve a huge variety of culturally diverse dishes that keep customers coming back. For all our Valley vegans who travel to dine at the beloved restaurant, you won’t have to go very far to get your fix anymore. The Grain Cafe’s new Van Nuys location is now open!
Authentic Mexican and Oaxacan Vegan Food
The Grain Cafe is your ultimate destination for authentic Mexican and Oaxacan vegan food in LA. Since opening in Mid-City in 2013, this homey restaurant has wowed guests with dishes like savory crepes, mole burritos, and tres leches—which is one of our favorite desserts in the city. Over the years, The Grain Cafe has expanded to several other locations including Long Beach, Redondo Beach, and Culver City. Now, it’s time for a fifth location!
Vegan Food in the San Fernando Valley
The Grain Cafe team took to Instagram earlier this week to make the official announcement after teasing the Van Nuys opening back in August. The grand opening was this Tuesday, October 11, which means the new location is now open at 14440 Gilmore St, Van Nuys, CA 91401 for regular business hours. So, the next time you’re looking for vegan food in the San Fernando Valley, you know where to go!
“First of all, we want to thank the community for allowing us to become part of this amazing neighborhood. A few of our customers have been requesting for us to open a location in The Valley and we are thankful that we made it here,” shared The Grain Cafe team.
The Grain Cafe Menu
The Grain Cafe menu in Van Nuys will feature the same classic dishes we all know and love from the other four locations—plus a few additional Oaxacan dishes, like sopes. Aside from their show-stopping Mexican dishes, The Grain Cafe offers American classics in the realm of breakfast platters, pizzas, and sandwiches as well as Asian-inspired sushi rolls and European crepes. There really is something for everyone!
