The Butcher's Son

The San Francisco Bay Area vegan restaurant will be opening on Western Avenue late this spring.

If you’ve spent any time in the San Francisco Bay Area over the past few years, you’ve probably heard of The Butcher’s Son. This fully vegan eatery makes some of the best sandwiches and vegan comfort food in town. This spring, The Butcher’s Son is set to open its first Los Angeles location.

The Butcher’s Son Heads to Los Angeles

The Butcher’s Son is currently in the process of expanding to more locations outside its original location in Berkeley. The first site is set to be a pickup and delivery location only and will open at 615 N Western Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90004 late this spring. Once this store is up and running, the team behind The Butcher’s Son has plans to open a brick-and-mortar store in Los Angeles as well.

While customers won’t be able to dine in at the first LA Butcher’s Son outpost, the brand will be offering much of the same menu that’s available in Berkeley, including the Buffalo bacon chicken sandwich, cannoli, smoked pastrami Reuben, and cheesecakes. The store will also offer some of its famed retail items, such as house-made deli meats and cheeses.

The Butcher’s Son’s Menu

The Butcher’s Son is a lunch and brunch spot that serves up all kinds of vegan comfort food, including mozzarella sticks, loaded fries, and a variety of deli-style sandwiches made with their house-made meats. The restaurant also operates as a vegan deli, and customers can order sides of vegan deli meat and classic deli sides such as house-made sauerkraut, potato salad, and coleslaw. House-made deli meats include Smoked Whitefish Salad, Lemon Garlic Chicken, Smoked Pastrami, and Smoked Jackfruit.

Gluten-free bread is available for all sandwiches at no upcharge, and the Smoked Jackfruit can be swapped out for any other deli meat on all sandwiches for those looking for a soy-free meal.
