The Veganaire is set to open in the Shoppes at West Village later this month.
A new vegan restaurant is opening in Roanoke this month—a welcome addition to the Virginia town with limited vegan options.
The Third Fully Vegan Restaurant in Roanoke
The Veganaire is set to be just the third fully vegan restaurant in Roanoke county. Greg Fuller—head chef and co-owner—has already developed a loyal customer base through his recent foray into vegan catering and events and has been cooking for his friends for years. In fact, it was the encouragement of his friends—telling him that his food was that good—that prompted him to open The Veganaire.
The Veganaire’s menu is centered around dishes that are minimally processed, full of whole foods, and non-GMO. There won’t be any soy proteins or canned products in the kitchen—everything will be made from scratch and to-order. But that doesn’t mean the menu will be salads and healthy bowls only! The options will include a diverse selection of entrees and sides, with Fuller’s goal to appeal to vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike.
Some menu highlights from The Veganaire’s pop-up events have included curried chickpeas, mushroom-packed pasta, kabobs loaded with veggies, and homemade pies and muffins. One of the brand’s staples is the house-made oxtail and quinoa burger, topped with vegan gravy on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes (yes, please!). Customers can expect to see many of these items at the restaurant when it opens, as well as some new items that have not yet been revealed.
Vegan Options at the Shoppes at West Village
The Veganaire will be located at 3549 Electric Road, Suite D, Cave Spring, VA 24018, bringing more vegan options to the Shoppes at West Village! Initially, the restaurant will be offering takeout only as they adjust to the small space and restaurant business. Give the new spot a follow on Instagram at @vaveganfood for updates on the opening date, menu release, and future pop-up events.
