Con Alma is every vegan music-lover's dream!
What pairs well with a nice vegan dinner? Cocktails and live jazz music, of course! If you’re looking for a place to enjoy all three elements, check out Con Alma’s Ellsworth location! This Pittsburgh restaurant and jazz bar is now 100% vegan.
Latin-Inspired Dishes, Craft Cocktails, and Wine
Con Alma, which is Spanish for “with soul,” is a restaurant and jazz club that aims to keep jazz in the music scene. Each night, Con Alma hosts a local jazz musician to perform while guests enjoy a menu of globally inspired dishes, craft cocktails, and wines. In addition, there are two locations—one of which just switched to a vegan menu!
Con Alma Now Boasts an All-Vegan Menu
Con Alma’s flagship location in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood started its plant-based transition last year. In October, the restaurant first implemented a vegetarian food menu. The new dishes must have been a hit. Because Con Alma now boasts an all-vegan menu, wine cellar, and bar!
Guests can expect the same rich international food. The only difference is everything is made from plants! There are plant-based versions of both classic dishes and new, innovative creations. Jamaican patties, sikil pak, gorditas, tacos, and Korean fried tofu are a few items on the current menu. The wine list, curated by partner Aimee Marshall, contains only sustainable, certified vegan wines.
“Plant-based food is not something only for vegetarians and vegans. It’s a vibrant, exciting cuisine, appreciated by anyone who enjoys food created with care,” shared Marshall.
