The “Beyond The Original Orange Chicken” is back for a limited time.
Back in July of this year, Panda Express tested a vegan orange chicken made with Beyond Meat. The launch was a hit, and today Panda Express is bringing back the vegan orange chicken to select locations for a limited time.
Vegan Orange Chicken at Panda Express
The vegan orange chicken—called Beyond The Original Orange Chicken—is made with crispy and breaded Beyond Meat that’s tossed in that sweet, tangy orange chicken sauce you know and love.
Starting today, October 27, the Beyond The Original Orange Chicken (BTOOC) is back and available at 70 locations across 10 states. The states participating in the launch are California, Washington, Texas, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, and New York. Use Panda Express’ store locator to find the store carrying the vegan orange chicken closest to you.
Second Launch of Beyond The Original Orange Chicken
This is the second launch of Beyond The Original Orange Chicken. The first launch, which took place in July, was limited to New York City and Southern California. The launch was so successful that all of the locations in Southern California had completely sold out of the vegan orange chicken in less than two weeks. In fact, the dish was so popular that Panda Express sold 1,300 pounds of it in one day!
As the traditional orange chicken is Panda Express’ bestseller, the popularity of the vegan version is a good omen for a potential nationwide release—something that customers are pleading for on social media.
