Get ready, Austin! Mission Burger Co. has teamed up with Barley Bean Cafe to launch a brand-new all-day vegan destination in the city’s Central Business District. The new spot, located at 3600 S Lamar Blvd, is now open, serving everything from breakfast tacos and pancakes to craft cocktails and classic American comfort food—all 100% plant-based.
A Bigger, Better Home for Mission Burger Co.
This opening marks a major move for Mission Burger Co., which originally operated inside Rivercity Market. Founded in 2023 by Isaac Mogannam and Michael Limongelli, the vegan burger joint quickly gained a cult following. With a sky-high Yelp rating and accolades like a “Best of Austin” nomination from the Austin Chronicle and “Best Vegan Food” recognition from Eater Austin, it’s no wonder fans are excited about this new brick-and-mortar location.
Barley Bean Goes All Vegan
“When we met with Barley Bean’s founder and CEO, Mohit Mehra, we all agreed it was time to build something great together - for the community, for us and most importantly, for the animals,” said Limongelli. “We wanted to deliver an experience—a place where you can join us in the morning for some pancakes or breakfast tacos and great coffee, or come in the evening with your friends for dinner and grab a burger or any other American classics with a gorgeous cocktail from the bar.”
