Classic carnival-style bites get a cruelty-free upgrade at Vegan Circus!

One of the wonders of childhood is marveling at a circus. In adulthood, you learn the show does not go on without animal labor. That’s where Vegan Circus—a plant-based food truck serving carnival-style eats—steps in. The Northern California-based event catering business works to prove you can still enjoy burgers, corn dogs, churros, funnel cakes, and more sans the cruelty.

Vegan Circus Debuts Food Truck for Events

The concept of a cruelty-free vegan circus sounds like an oxymoron. But we assure you it exists—at least the food does! Vegan Circus is Latina-owned and operated and marries two passions: delicious food and helping animals. The company launched in 2020. Its mission is to provide vegan dining options at events. And it now includes a food truck, which is available for private events!

Vegan Corn Dogs, Churros, Funnel Cakes, and More

When you think of carnival-style foods, corn dogs, churros, and funnel cakes come to mind. And that’s exactly what Vegan Circus is cooking up! Vegan Circus’ Hot Link Corn Dog is dipped in a chunky house-made sweet corn batter and fried to deliver that signature golden exterior and pillowy interior. Other mains include the Happy Hot Dog served on a pretzel bun, the Circus Burger (topped with a poblano remoulade), and the Unicorn Super Salad. Your circus-themed experience is incomplete until you order a cloud of cotton candy or a cinnamon-sugar-coated churro. You know you’ve done it right when your fingertips are sparkling.

“We are equally passionate about delicious food as well as helping animals, which is why we are donating 15% of profits to animal sanctuaries and organizations that help liberate animals in captivity. We have chosen two organizations to donate to: Pawsitive Beginnings Inc and Performing Animal Welfare Sanctuary—they have an elephant sanctuary here in California in San Andreas,” Vegan Circus owner Drea Mason told VegOut.
