Green Street Eatery—sister restaurant to the Green Street Food Truck—opened in Levittown last month.

If you’ve spent any time on Long Island recently, you’ve probably heard of Green Street Food Truck: the fully vegan and gluten-free concept that was voted the best food truck on Long Island. Last month, the Green Street owners expanded to open a brick-and-mortar location, making it Long Island’s first gluten-free vegan restaurant.

Long Island’s First Gluten-Free Vegan Restaurant

Green Street Eatery—like its food truck counterpart—isn’t just 100% vegan. It’s 100% gluten-free as well. Long Island’s first gluten-free vegan restaurant is located at 7 Emerson Avenue Levittown, NY 11756 and is open from 11am-7pm Wednesday-Saturday and 10am-2pm on Sunday.

While Green Street Eatery has only been open for a month, they’ve already been a welcome addition to the community. The restaurant features a cozy indoor space, where guests can order at the counter and then enjoy their food at indoor tables or on their large outdoor patio. The spot frequently hosts events on the patio, including movie nights, pop-ups, and yoga classes.

Vegan and Gluten-Free Options on Long Island

Providing vegan and gluten-free options on Long Island, the menu at the Green Street Eatery is similar to that of the food truck but is much more expansive. Guests can find dishes they know and love from the food truck, such as Bacon Ranch Fries, Plantain Tacos, and raw, ready-to-eat cookie dough, as well as some dishes that are exclusive to the restaurant, such as Korean Yum Yum Fries, which come topped with kimchi, green onions, and cauliflower in their house-made Yum Yum sauce.

The restaurant also has an extensive brunch menu which is available from 10am-2pm on Sundays. The menu consists of savory items such as breakfast nachos and tacos, as well as a wide selection of sweet items such as Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast.
