After a successful few years operating in Old Pasadena, Leona Lewis’ vegan coffee shop expands to Studio City later this month! Featuring an all-vegan food and drink menu in an Instagrammable plant-filled setting, consider Coffee and Plants your new favorite hangout spot.

Singer-songwriter Leona Lewis founded Coffee and Plants with Dennis Jauch and Achraf Skhiri to create a more sustainable, ethical future for the coffee industry. The trio opened their first shop in Pasadena in 2019 with a fully vegan menu and beautiful display of lush, locally grown plants. Now, if you know anything about Angelenos, it’s that we love plants and oat milk lattes. So, it’s no secret that Coffee and Plants is opening its second location soon.
“We are excited to bring our disruptive plant-based concept, Coffee and Plants, to the Studio City neighborhood. We are aiming to help the world, one cup at a time, to move away from dairy consumption by introducing plant-based products to the masses, all while giving back to the planet and our animal friends,” shared Lewis.

Dog-Friendly Vegan Coffee Shop in Studio City
The new dog-friendly vegan coffee shop in Studio City will feature pour over, single origin drip, cold brew, espresso-based, and tea beverages. With ingredients like sustainably sourced coffee beans from Unity Coffee, house-made coconut whipped cream, and natural plant-based syrups, Coffee and Plants’ menu is one of a kind! In addition to the fan-favorites from their Pasadena location, Coffee and Plants will offer an exclusive Laurel Latte at its new location, created in honor of the Studio City neighborhood.
To pair with your beverage, Coffee and Plants will stock a variety of delicious savory and sweet bites with gluten-free options. Avocado Tartines, JUST Egg Croissants, Almond Cherry Muffins, and Lemon Poppyseed Slices are just a few fan-favorite items.
To further benefit the animals and the planet, Coffee and Plants partners with like-minded organizations to give back to the community. For example, when Coffee and Plants sells 100 cups of coffee, the National Forest Foundation plants a tree. In addition, Coffee and Plants donates a portion of the proceeds from select menu items to the Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit that rescues abused and neglected animals.

Vegan Leather Seats, Live Plants, and Custom Art Pieces
Aside from the delicious food and drinks, Coffee and Plants’ Studio City location will offer a comfortable environment to work and hang out in. Designed in tandem with interior architectural agency Rigos Mills, the 1,000-square-foot shop presents vegan leather seats, live plants, and custom art pieces. A few notable mentions include floral installations by Floratorium, a gorgeous chandelier by Studio LDE, and a mural by local artist Brian Robles. The rotating greenery at Coffee and Plants showcases Hoyas, Monsteras, Pothos, Snake Plants, ZZ Plants, and more.
