The LA-based vegan burger joint is expanding on the East Coast!
Burgers, nuggets, and soft serve—oh my! The Los Angeles-based burger joint Honeybee Burger is opening a location in New York City this winter.
Honeybee Burger Raised $1.7 Million
Honeybee Burger was founded in Los Angeles in 2019 by a group of passionate foodies and investors who love plant-based food and the planet. Through its vast menu of veganized fast-food favorites and educational blurbs about the environmental impact of plant-based eating, the restaurant has done a wonderful job encouraging customers to try out a vegan lifestyle in a deliciously upbeat manner.
This past February, Honeybee Burger raised $1.7 million through a six-week crowdfunding campaign on Start Engine. With their new funds, the company expressed plans to rapidly expand across the country—starting with New York City.
New Vegan Burger Joint in NYC
Honeybee’s flagship New York City location is set to open this winter at 280 Bleecker Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood. It will be replacing the old Fish restaurant, which is positioned right next door to the famous John’s of Bleecker Street pizza shop—aka prime real estate to attract some hungry peeps!
To revamp the space, Honeybee has partnered with designer and architect Garrett Singer. Developer Keith Schwebel has also been brought on board To help with the opening of the new vegan burger joint in NYC.
