Adored 100% vegan Chicago restaurant and bar will join as one of six initial culinary concepts when XMarket Vegan Food Hall opens in September.
Kale My Name, Chicago’s vegan darling, will count themselves among one of the six initial culinary concepts at the eagerly anticipated XMarket Vegan Food Hall. The food hall, set to launch on September 14, is already generating buzz as the Midwest’s largest plant-based culinary haven.
Kale My Name: An Award-Winning Vegan Restaurant
Kale My Name, founded in 2020 by the visionary entrepreneur Nemanja Golubovic, has become a beloved fixture in the Chicago vegan dining scene. Named after the iconic Beyoncé song “Say My Name,” the restaurant has rapidly ascended to being one of North Chicago’s most acclaimed vegan dining destinations. With a menu that showcases creativity and flavor, Kale My Name claimed VegOut’s “Vegan Restaurant of the Year” in 2023 and “Best Vegan Casual Restaurant” in 2022.
“Having just celebrated the third anniversary of our flagship restaurant in the Albany Park neighborhood, now is the perfect time to open a second location to make our vegan cuisine accessible to even more Chicagoans,” shared Kale My Name founder and CEO Nemanja Golubovic. “I could never have imagined having one, much less two restaurants, in Chicago, and I look forward to making this a huge success.”

A Plant-Powered Haven Awaits
Developed in collaboration with the Macromia Group, known for crafting upscale dining and retail destinations, the XMarket Vegan Food Hall spans a sprawling 6,500 square feet. The food hall promises an array of culinary experiences, including six diverse restaurants, a coffee shop, a wine and beer bar, and even a bodega-style grocery store featuring vegan cheeses.
