The limited-edition vegan menu item is available at all Just Salad locations nationwide through January 31.
Fast-casual restaurant chain Just Salad is elevating Veganuary 2024 with an exclusive collaboration featuring the culinary prowess of Michelin-starred chef Amanda Cohen. Aptly named the Dirt Candy Salad after Chef Cohen’s acclaimed NYC vegetable haven, this vegan dish is a highlight of Just Salad’s new winter menu.
Chef Cohen said, “Embarking on this Veganuary journey with Just Salad is a thrilling fusion of culinary passions and a shared food ethos. Our collaboration stems from a mutual dedication to redefining dining experiences through plant-based innovation and sustainable practices. I’m excited to offer their customers a new vegan recipe that incorporates some of my favorite flavors and ingredients.”
The Dirt Candy Salad
Launching as part of Just Salad’s winter menu, the Dirt Candy Salad showcases an enticing blend of flavors and textures. Extra crisp romaine and arugula provide the base for organic sesame tofu, sliced cucumber, shaved broccoli, Tajin spiced pumpkin seeds, sweet pepperoncini, and buttery Castelvetrano olives.
Accompanying the salad is a creamy vegan ranch dressing that boasts a blend of Vegenaise, nutritional yeast, minced garlic, lemon juice, white vinegar, salt, chopped parsley, and water—an irresistible complement to the vibrant flavors of the salad.
Jhonny Castro, Culinary Director at Just Salad, said, “It was an honor to partner with Chef Cohen, a pioneer in the vegetable-forward movement who continues to be a creative force in the culinary industry. We’re proud to offer our guests a Michelin-star experience through the partnership that embodies our passion for flavorful, plant-forward food and commitment to quality ingredients.”
