The Los Angeles-based vegan restaurant’s new throwback cocktail program will have you totally buggin’.
The ‘90s are making a comeback, and millennials are here for every last middle part, crop top, and pair of overalls. Popular LA-based vegan restaurant Gracias Madre is getting in on the action with their newly-released ‘90s-themed cocktail menu available at both Southern California locations.
Now That’s What I Call Cocktails 1990s
If you’re looking for more than Two Pina Coladas or that Gin & Juice isn’t cutting it anymore, then Run, Millennials, Run to Gracias Madre in West Hollywood. Gracias Madre’s ‘90s-themed cocktail menu consists of three new drinks: the Cosmopolita, Isla Grande Ice Tea, and Espresso Martini, and they’re all more lit than the bowling alley on a Saturday night.
The Cosmopolita is Beverage Director Maxwell Reis’ take on the classic cocktail that was reinvigorated in the ‘90s. Reis said Bye Bye Bye to the vodka and made this iconic cocktail with tequila blanco, hibiscus, cranberry, lime, and orange liqueur for a finish that is the perfect balance of sweet and sour that you always hoped your Warheads would be.
The Isla Grande Ice Tea is so good, it will have you staying until Closing Time, but it’s a two-drink maximum on these boozy teas. Mixing liquors is so ’80s, so forget the vodka, rum, and gin—this drink is made with a Full House of agave-based liquors: mezcal, tequila blanco, raicilla, and sotol. It’s so good, you’ll be visiting the bar for one of these cocktails on Friday, Next Friday, and the Friday After Next.
Could we be any more excited about this last cocktail? The Espresso Martini is made with Central Perk espresso*, salmiana mezcal, cacao, and clove & cardamom ponche and will make you feel like you’re finally sitting at the adult table. Who knew that all it would take was one small pivot from your go-to drink order.
